Mike Cohn
Biographie : Mike has extensive experience in all aspects and product types of commercial real estate, starting as a commercial real estate attorney at Troutman Sanders, an international law firm based in Atlanta. Mike left private practice to become in-house counsel at New Market Development prior to becoming Senior Vice President at Cousins Properties. In 2002 Mike was named Senior Managing Director of Faison Enterprises responsible for Faison’s retail platform in the southeastern United States. In 2010, Mike returned to Cousins as Executive Vice President before founding Lennar Commerical in April 2013. Mike founded Berkley development in 2015 when Lennar Commercial was sold to a private equity firm. Mike has participated in the development of more than 20 million square feet of retail, office and mixed-use projects valued at almost $4B. In addition, Mike has extensive experience in financing, acquiring/disposing, recapitalizing, leasing and managing large commercial projects as well as in the formation of joint ventures with both entrepreneurs and institutional partners. Mike has a BBA with high distinction in Accounting and Finance from Emory University and is an honors graduate of the University of Florida College of Law, where he chaired the Moot Court program. Mike is currently on the Board of Directors of the Kelly A. Bergstrom Real Estate Center at the University of Florida and of the J. Mack Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University. In addition, Mike lectures frequently at the Goizuetta School of Business at Emory University, the Kenan-Flager College of Business at UNC-Chapel Hill, as well as at the University of Florida and Georgia State University.
