Biographie :
BARRY R. MANDEL, Chairman & CEO, Mandel Group Inc. Barry R. Mandel has a JD degree from Georgetown University Law Center and a BA in economics from the University of Wisconsin. After graduating from law school, he practiced tax, corporate, and real estate law in Kansas City, Missouri. In January 1986, he joined Trammell Crow Residential ("TCR") as managing residential partner for Wisconsin. From 1988-1989, Mr. Mandel also assumed responsibility for TCR's operations in Minneapolis. In November 1991, Mr. Mandel formed Mandel Group Inc. (MGI). MGI is an integrated real estate services firm with operations in development, construction, and property management. The Company’s primary real estate focus is urban in-fill and suburban/urban node luxury multi-family rental communities and mixed-use developments. Over the last 4 years, MGI has also created a Midwest Multifamily Acquisition Platform. The firm and its affiliates directly employ approximately 160 professionals in these activities. Since inception, it has completed over $1.5 billion in development and acquisitions. Communities developed and managed by MGI have received numerous local, national and global awards, including the prestigious Urban Land Institute (ULI) Global Award for Excellence for the Milwaukee Riverwalk in 2018 and the ULI Award for Excellence for East Pointe, a mixed-use development, in 1999. Mr. Mandel has been featured in numerous periodicals for his developments and was featured in April 2012 in Milwaukee Magazine in an article entitled “He Built This City.” In 2014, he received the “Inspiration Entrepreneur Award” from BIZSTARTS Milwaukee, “Building Milwaukee Award” from Milwaukee/NARI, and “Executive of the Year Award Honorable Mention” from the Milwaukee Business Journal.
