John Bonanno

Biography:
Mr. Bonanno joined Daniel Communities in 2019 to oversee the planning, development, and community management of Liberty Park a 3300-acre master-planned community in Vestavia Hills, Al. Mr. Bonanno began his career in 1987 as an Assistant Project Manager for the New York firm of Ralph George Mastromonaco Consulting Engineers, where he worked on a variety of projects ranging from the revitalization of downtown areas to residential golf communities. In 1994, he moved to Atlanta to work for Rochester & Associates, Inc., where he managed the design of 6 master-planned communities, consisting of over 7,000 acres of land and 8,000 lots, prior to becoming a real estate developer in 2003. After a brief stint as Director of Engineering for Ryland Homes’ Washington, DC division, where he worked on the acquisition, planning, and development of single- and multi-family residential communities Mr. Bonanno returned to Atlanta to join his former client, Crescent Resources and follow his passion to develop master-planned communities. During his eight years with Crescent Resources, he was part of the original development team which created The River Club in Suwanee, GA before becoming Residential Vice-President of the Atlanta Region responsible for Crescent’s three master planned communities. Prior to joining Daniel Communities, Mr. Bonanno worked for Walton Group of Companies (Walton) where he managed the processes for concept planning and development activities for 35 projects which encompassed 19,000 acres in three southeastern markets. He left Walton to join JTG Holdings, a new startup development firm in Atlanta where he acquired, designed, and developed Harvest Park a 300-unit traditional neighborhood development in the heart of Suwanee, GA. Mr. Bonanno graduated from the New York Institute of Technology with a B.S. in Architectural Technologies in 1986, became a registered Professional Engineer in 1996, and earned an MBA with honors from Brenau University Member Directory  Arrow
