Nicole Bopp

Biography:
Biography of Nicole Bopp Lifetime Metro Detroit resident Nicole Bopp has been involved in real estate development and land use issues throughout her professional career, and continues to look for opportunities to apply her experience in helping the region grow responsibly. After graduating from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor’s degree in Art History and Foreign Languages, Ms. Bopp spent nearly twenty years in Real Estate development research and marketing for the Nelson Companies Incorporated of West Bloomfield, MI. The multi-state entity develops high-rise urban apartment communities, low-rise suburban residential communities, single-family subdivisions, hotels, shopping centers, business parks, distribution centers and mixed-use developments. While at the Nelson Companies Incorporated Ms. Bopp spent time in the property management, development, zoning and leasing areas of the business before becoming the Director of Marketing and Research. Three years ago, Ms. Bopp joined Nextek Power Systems, Inc., a Detroit Tech Town company that specializes in the design and implementation of high efficiency Direct Current electrical systems for business, education, military, civic and humanitarian efforts. As Director of Marketing, Ms. Bopp is responsible for business development as well as marketing, and has participated in the company’s growth from seven employees to twenty-two, and the progression from a research and development firm to include manufacturing and on-site installation. Ms. Bopp was the Urban Land Institute - Detroit District Council Coordinator for six years, during which they experienced tremendous membership growth and were known for organizing exclusive tours and speakers from around the country. Ms. Bopp currently sits on the Board of Directors of the Founders’ Junior Council at the Detroit Institute of the Arts, where she and her husband are donors. She is also the Executive Director on the David Robert and Sylvia Jean Nelson Foundation for Arts and Letters, a charitable organization that provides financial assistance to talented university students in the visual, performing and literary arts as well as provides art supplies to underserved communities and programs in the Detroit area. Ms. Bopp lives in West Bloomfield with her husband and two children. As a family they are supporters of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Team in Training, The Coalition on Temporary Shelter and Ms. Bopp personally raised over $17,000 for the Susan G. Komen 3-Day for a Cure. When time permits she now competes in half marathon races. She is also a licensed real estate salesperson in the State of Michigan. Member Directory  Arrow
