Meghan Elliott

Biography:
Meghan Elliott, PE, Associate AIA New History, Founding Principal and President Meghan Elliott started New History to increase the use and viability of historic buildings and sites. Her unique and integrated business model combines historical research, specialized expertise in historical architecture and design, and real estate development services. Meghan acts as the President of New History and leads the design team. She received her undergraduate degrees in Civil Engineering and Studio Art at Rice University in Houston, Texas before obtaining a Master of Architecture and Master of Science in Civil Engineering at the University of California at Berkeley as a National Science Research Fellow. Meghan started her career in seismic retrofit and earthquake engineering, but expanded her expertise and started New History to solve the most challenging preservation problems. She has served on the Minneapolis Heritage Preservation Commission and several nonprofit boards.
