Michael Gresty
Biography: Michael Gresty is VP Workplace Analytics for FM:Systems. Michael has previously accumulated over 25 years of experience advising Fortune 500 companies on various aspects of design, corporate real estate and sustainability. He has consulted to senior executives on the development and management of more efficient buildings and on the integration of sustainability into company strategy, operations and culture. Michael has extensive experience working across multiple sectors with dozens of leading companies such as Lenovo, Cisco, Uber Technologies, Genentech, ExxonMobil, PPG Industries, Levi’s, ING, Nordea, and Biogen Idec. He is a frequent speaker on analytics, big data, green buildings and sustainability at industry events, webinars and conferences, and has facilitated numerous LEED projects including large office, data center, retail, hospitality, and residential projects. He previously worked on large infrastructure and design projects in the USA and France, and for five years on the development of engineering and technical software in South Africa. He was a co-founder and CEO of Rifiniti, acquired by FM:Systems. Previously, Michael was Managing Partner at Altanova Energy+Sustainability and a co-founder of Kinetix, two leading boutique sustainability consultancies in NYC. Michael was also a co-founder of the more than 1,000 member Sustainability Practice Network (SPN) non-profit based in New York City. Michael received his Architecte DPLG from the Ecole d’Architecture de Paris-Belleville. He also holds a Bachelor of Architectural Studies from the University of Cape Town.
