Carolyn Kwon

Biography: Carolyn Kwon is the Head of Platform at Moderne Ventures, a strategic venture capital and growth equity firm with over $500 million in assets under management. Moderne Ventures specializes in investing in technology companies that innovate within multi-trillion-dollar industries such as real estate, finance, insurance, and sustainability. In her role, Carolyn oversees the firm's esteemed Passport Program, a highly selective industry immersion initiative designed to bridge the gap between emerging startups and established enterprises in real estate, finance, and adjacent industries. The program, which accepts less than 1% of applicants, provides participants with education, exposure, insight, and relationships that drive customer growth. Carolyn also leads efforts to engage Moderne’s strategic limited partners (LPs), creating impactful opportunities for cross-pollination of ideas through councils and thought leadership initiatives. Her work has helped drive meaningful collaborations and synergies between portfolio companies and industry stakeholders, ensuring value creation and long-term success. Prior to joining Moderne Ventures, Carolyn was a President’s Club Recipient at LinkedIn, where she partnered directly with high-growth companies to develop and launch their corporate recruitment and digital marketing strategies.
