Quentin Kuhrau
Biography: May 2009 Quentin Kuhrau is President and CEO of Unico Investment Group LLC. In January 2009, he was promoted from Chief Investment Officer & Senior Vice President, responsible for investment and development for the firm. Quentin has been with Unico since 1996. Quentin has more than 20 years of commercial real estate experience with expertise in the combined disciplines of real estate investment, leasing, finance and construction management. He has completed over $1 billion of acquisitions, dispositions, development, and debt / equity financings. Unico was formed in 1953 to take a 60 year ground lease for 10 acres of land in the heart of downtown Seattle. Over the ensuing years the company developed 3.5 MSF of high rise office space on and adjacent to this land. In the mid 1990's the company began to diversify and now has ownership and management interests in 8 million square feet of office, 2500 multi-family units and a small portfolio of medical office buildings in the western United States. The company is a real estate operating company and has acquired this portfolio primarily through joint ventures with institutional partners and through a series of high net worth investment funds. The company has 100 employees, equity interests in $1.2 billion of real estate and provides full real estate services including acquisition, development, management, leasing, financing and construction management. Quentin holds a master's degree in Business Administration with emphasis in real estate and finance from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management from the University of Washington. In 2001, he completed the Advanced Management Programme of Templeton College at Oxford University.
