William Kistler

Biography: William P. Kistler (https://www.linkedin.com/in/wpkistler/) Bill is a real estate industry leader and strategist. He has a unique combination of international and non-profit, executive positions in development, advisory and non-profit organizations. These roles have helped build an extensive, global network of industry, investor and government relationships. Urban-Ovation is a network of stakeholders in the built environment that offers innovative solutions to 21st century urban challenges. After studying architecture Bill joined IBM in Silicon Valley, moving to New York and then Paris as Director of Real Estate. Experience working on diverse, large scale projects in 20 countries sparked a lifelong interest in intersection of technology and the built environment. Senior advisory and asset management roles followed at Cushman & Wakefield and JMB Properties. Bill joined Disney as Managing Director of Development to manage the launch of the mixed-use community of Val d’Europe at Disneyland Paris. Following Disney he founded Equinox Partners, with offices in Paris, London and New York, advising commercial and government clients. As the Senior Partner at Korn Ferry’s real estate executive search practice in EMEA, he helped a wide range of clients with leadership and organizational challenges. As Chief Executive of industry organisations ICSC and ULI in EMEA, Bill had the opportunity to work with industry leaders to understand the trends reshaping cities and the real estate industry, delivering thought leadership through events, research and advocacy. Bill is a Trustee of the Urban Land Institute and a member of the International Advisory Council University of Lisbon, School of Economics & Management. He is an Architect and holds a BS in Architecture from the University of Southern California. September 2020
