Jack Maher

Biography: Jack Maher is an Executive Managing Director and Head of Alternative Investments for HIMCO. He is also a member of HIMCO’s Executive Leadership Team. As Head of Alternatives, Jack is responsible for the Private Equity, Private Placement, Private Commercial Real Estate Debt, Infrastructure & Energy Transition and Private Asset Based Lending investment teams. Prior to taking on his current role in 2015, Jack was the Head of the Commercial Real Estate team. Jack is a member of the Mortgage Bankers Association where he serves as a member of the Commercial Real Estate /Multi-Family Finance Board of Governors. Jack is also a member of the Urban Land Institute, the Real Estate Finance Association of Connecticut, Senior Investment Leaders Committee within LOMA and the Life Mortgage and Real Estate Officers Council. Prior to joining HIMCO in 2005, Jack was a Managing Director at Aetna responsible for new real estate debt and equity investments. Jack earned his BA from the College of the Holy Cross, his MBA from the University of New Haven and his MS in Real Estate Investment and Analysis from NYU.
