Biography: Eric Weatherholtz Eric Weatherholtz is a founding partner of Healey Weatherholtz Properties (“HWP”), an Atlanta-based retail real estate developer and a founding partner of Pecos Ventures, LLC, a sponsor of private equity real estate investment funds. HWP and Pecos specialize in acquiring underutilized properties in dense, affluent submarkets and repositioning them to improve their functionality, appearance, community appeal, and, ultimately, value. Representative examples include 64 W Colorado in Pasadena, CA and Shops Around Lenox in Atlanta, GA. A Pecos-sponsored partnership acquired 64 W Colorado when it was a functionally-obsolescent movie theater and subsequently renovated it as a multi-tenant street retail property including Tiffany & Co., Abercrombie & Fitch, and H&M. A HWP-sponsored partnership acquired Shops Around Lenox as a 40% occupied strip center and subsequently renovated and repositioned it as a walkable streetscape including Crate & Barrel, lululemon, Tootsies, and Suitsupply. HWP and Pecos own properties in Georgia, Colorado, and Honolulu and previously completed projects in Los Angeles, Chicago, Phoenix, and San Francisco. HWP performs leasing, management, and development in-house, and is currently engaged in the development of Howell Mill, a 350,000 square foot urban redevelopment in Atlanta and the repositioning of 333 Michigan Avenue, a historic and iconic high-rise in Chicago. Prior to HWP and Pecos, Eric held various positions with The Ellman Companies, a Scottsdale-based developer, where he served on the development team for Westgate, a mixed-use project with retail, hotel, residential, NHL arena, and NFL stadium elements. Prior to Ellman, Eric held various management roles at Regency Centers and its predecessor companies where he was involved with the leasing, management, and renovation of over 100 properties nationwide. Eric is a graduate of the University of Virginia and volunteers as a board member and basketball coach at Northside United Methodist Church. HWP is a winner of ULI’s Development of Excellence award and the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s deal of the year awards.
